Coalition Forces Gives Iraqis Control of 10th Province

Jul 2008U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq have handed the Iraqi
government control of a province south of Baghdad.The coalition
transferred control of the mostly Shi'ite province of Qadisiyah during a
ceremony Wednesday. The province is the 10th of 18 provinces to return
to Iraqi control since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.In other news, the
U.S. military says coalition forces detained 16 suspected terrorists
during operations in Baghdad and Mosul.
