Pakistani army spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said the crash Wednesday, was an accident - apparently caused by a technical problem. He said the crash killed Major General Javed Sultan, the commanding officer of the Kohat garrison in South Waziristan. Two brigadier generals also were among those killed. The accident took place in Pakistan's tribal region near the border with Afghanistan, where security forces have been fighting Taliban and al-Qaida-linked insurgents.
