The Israeli army says the attacks were in response to rockets fired into southern Israel today from the Palestinian territory. The rockets did some damage but caused no casualties. On Friday, Israeli strikes killed at least seven Palestinians in Gaza, as militants continued firing rockets into Israel, causing some injuries but no deaths. Rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah also battled for a sixth day in the Gaza Strip Friday. At least three people were killed. Clashes also erupted near the pro-Hamas Islamic University in Gaza City. More than 45 people have been killed since the latest round of factional clashes broke out Sunday.
