June 5, 2007 US Military Continues Search for Missing Soldiers in Iraq --------------------------------------------------------- http://enews.voanews.com/t?ctl=17B814B:A6F02AD83191E160C52DC3B322E1C7249574F7DCC14957C0 Search continues despite a video from an al-Qaida-linked group that claimed to have killed the men The U.S. military in Iraq says it is continuing to search for two missing soldiers, despite a video from an al-Qaida-linked group that claimed to have killed the men. Military spokesman Brigadier General Kevin Bergner said Monday that the video did not contain any definitive evidence about the status of the soldiers. The video posted on the Internet by the "Islamic State in Iraq" group showed the military identity cards of the two missing soldiers. The group claimed it had killed all three U.S. soldiers it captured during an attack south of Baghdad last month. The body of the third soldier was found in a canal two weeks ago. In new violence, Iraqi police say they shot and killed a female suicide bomber as she approached a police recruitment center in eastern Baghdad Tuesday. Separately, the U.S. military says coalition forces detained four suspected terrorists during raids in northeast Baghdad. Some information for this report was provided by AFP and Reuters. .
