Coalition Raids in Iraq Kill 4 ------------------------------ http://enews.voanews.com/t?ctl=1613CBB:A6F02AD83191E160855224D0623A3D629574F7DCC14957C0 Raids targeting foreign fighters and members of al-Qaida The U.S. military says coalition forces in Iraq have killed four terrorists and detained 29 suspected terrorists during raids targeting foreign fighters and members of al-Qaida in Iraq. A military statement said Saturday the early morning raids occurred in Fallujah and Ramadi in western al-Anbar province, and north of Baghdad in Kalar and Tarmiyah. Meanwhile, at least seven people were killed and more than 30 others wounded in a series of attacks across Iraq Saturday. In the deadliest incident, authorities say insurgents shot dead four police commandos in the northern town of Samarra. Several car bombs exploded in the northern oil city of Kirkuk, killing at least two people. South of Baghdad, one civilian was killed and nine were wounded when a parked car loaded with explosives blew up in the town of Mahmudiya. In other developments, the U.S. military says two U.S. soldiers died Friday of wounds they sustained in fighting in western al-Anbar province. Two other U.S. soldiers died Thursday from wounds suffered in enemy action in Anbar. Also Friday, a group affiliated with al-Qaida in Iraq claimed responsibility for the crash of a U.S. Army helicopter that killed its two crew members north of Baghdad. Witnesses said a pair of helicopters came under ground fire before one crashed. The other aircraft continued flying. Four helicopters have crashed during the past two weeks. Hostile fire is a possible cause of each crash. .
