Sunday, with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva expected to win
another term in office.

Opinion polls released Saturday show Mr. da Silva likely to win at
least 20 percent more votes than his opponent, former Sao Paulo
governor Geraldo Alckmin.

Elections results are expected late Sunday.

Mr. da Silva promised in a Saturday campaign rally that he would make
peace with the opposition after the election.

Mr. Alckmin predicted he will win an upset victory. He said Brazilians
understand the need for change and know it is the vote that changes
things.

Mr. da Silva was the top vote-getter in the October first balloting,
but fell short of the percentage needed to avoid a second round vote.
