Police say the diplomat's bodyguard - a Sudanese national who was wounded in the assault - later died of his injuries at a Baghdad hospital. Meanwhile, Iraqi politicians say Prime Minister-designate Nouri al-Maliki may soon announce the composition of a new unity government. A Western diplomat says Mr. al-Maliki will present his Cabinet by next week's constitutionally mandated deadline.
