Witnesses in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, say at least 15 people were killed and dozens were wounded Sunday as the rival militias fought with mortars, artillery and other heavy weapons. Islamic fighters have been targeting militiamen loyal to secular warlords who lost control of Mogadishu last month. Somalia's Supreme Islamic Council of Courts is attempting to impose strict sharia law over areas in their control, which include Mogadishu and much of the country's south. Last month in Sudan, court leaders and government officials reached a cease-fire and mutual recognition agreement.  The sides are scheduled to meet again in Khartoum on July 15th.
