At least one of those arrested is believed to be a leader in the Pakistan-based militant group Laskar-e-Toiba. Officials say they believe the group may be responsible for the July 11 attacks that killed nearly 200 people. Eight suspects have now been arrested in connection with the blasts. Police say some of those detained, in addition to the two men arrested Friday, are linked to Pakistan-based militant groups. Meanwhile, India has stepped up security at its borders with Bangladesh and Nepal to stop any terrorist infiltration. Indian officials said last week that two of the men arrested in connection with the train bombings could have crossed into India illegally from Bangladesh and Nepal. .
