Israeli medics treat a person at the site of a suicide bombing in Tel
Aviv, ThursdayIsraeli police say a blast from a suicide bomber in Tel
Aviv has wounded about 12 people near the city's old central bus
station.

The director of Israeli emergency services says there were no other
fatalities.  One victim was reported in critical condition, and police
say five others have serious wounds.

A short while after the explosion, the pan-Arabic Al-Arabiyah
television network showed a spokesman for the Palestinian militant
group, Islamic Jihad, claiming responsibility.
