He said during his weekly radio address Saturday that the conflict in Lebanon is part of a broader struggle between freedom and terror. He also said it is no coincidence that such violent struggles are taking place in Lebanon and Iraq, both places where people are struggling to build free societies. Mr. Bush said terrorists and their sponsors realize these countries are at a pivotal point, and he vowed the United States will continue to work to support young democracies across the Middle East. The president said the future in the Middle East will be difficult, but repeated that United States security depends on peace in that troubled region.
