A new warning was issued for the northwestern Bahamas Sunday as Wilma began moving northeast on a track that will take it north of Cuba Sunday and across Florida on Monday. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Wilma remains a Category Two storm with maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour. It says the storm may regain intensity today. The storm has spent more than two days pounding resort areas on Mexico's Yucatan peninsula with high winds and torrential rains that caused widespread flooding. Mexican President Vicente Fox is scheduled to visit the peninsula today. At least 19 people have been killed in the storm, including at least six in the Yucatan. To the north, residents have begun evacuating the Florida Keys, and some areas have already experienced several centimeters of rain. Forecasters say Wilma could trigger massive storm surges in the area. Some information for this report provided by AP, AFP and Reuters. .
