Laura Bush touches the Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City

U.S. first lady Laura Bush was heckled by protesters as she visited
two holy sites in Jerusalem.

At the Western Wall, Jewish demonstrators shouted for the release of
Jonathan Pollard, who is serving a life sentence in America for spying
for Israel.

Next, Mrs. Bush went to the Dome of the Rock mosque. As she entered
and exited the mosque, some Muslim worshipers shouted their
disapproval of her presence. Israeli police linked arms to clear a
path to her motorcade.

Mrs. Bush arrived in Israel Sunday from Jordan where she attended the
World Economic Forum conference on the Middle East.

She is scheduled to make a stop in Egypt before returning to the
United States.
