Separately, the U.S. military says four Marines have died of wounds sustained in fierce fighting in western Iraq close to the Syrian border. U.S. military officials say the four soldiers were fatally wounded Wednesday in a roadside bombing attack in the village of Karabilah. U.S. troops are conducting operations in the border region to flush out insurgents.
