In remarks published in the Arab newspaper al-Ittihad Monday, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said the man was recently handed over to U.S. authorities. Later, a Pakistani foreign ministry spokesman, Jalil Abbas Jilani, confirmed General Musharraf's remarks, but gave no further details. General Musharraf told CNN television last week that Pakistan has extracted all it could from al-Qaida's alleged number three man, and that he had not given interrogators any clues on the whereabouts of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden.
