Police and other members of Iraq's security forces are frequently
targeted by insurgents, who regard the security personnel as
collaborators with U.S. troops.

The U.S. military says U.S. and Iraqi forces foiled an insurgent
attack against a Baghdad police unit earlier this week. Thirteen
insurgents were captured.
