A U.S. military spokesman said fighter planes struck an enemy compound in Kunar province with precision guided bombs late Friday. The spokesman said military officers are still assessing the damage. It is not clear if there were any casualties. U.S. soldiers search a house for weapons in Bagh villageHundreds of U.S. and Afghan troops have been scouring the mountains of Kunar province for a small team of American commandos who disappeared during a battle with insurgents, Tuesday. A Special Forces helicopter sent to pick up the team crashed Tuesday, killing all 16 Army and Navy personnel on board.
