An Interior Ministry spokesman says most of the victims were Iraqis hoping to join a special police unit. At least 20 people also were wounded in the attack, which occurred outside a police recruiting center in Baghdad's Yarmouk neighborhood. Attacks in Iraq have targeted government security forces, whom the insurgents accuse of collaborating with U.S. troops. Separately, Iraq's ambassador to the United Nations has accused U.S. Marines of shooting to death a 21-year-old cousin. Ambassador Samir Sumaidaie said Friday the shooting occurred last week during a search of his cousin's home in western Iraq's al-Anbar province. The diplomat said the university student was found shot dead inside the home after the Marines left. The U.S. military says it is investigating.
