Iran Breaks UN Seals at Nuclear Plant ------------------------------------- (http://enews.voanews.com/t?ctl=E8A832:3919ACA Move announced as International Atomic Energy Agency board postponed emergency meeting in Vienna on Iran's actions Technicians adjust protective wear, alongside box containing uranium ore concentrate, at Uranium Conversion Facility of Iran Iran says it has broken United Nations' seals placed on parts of a uranium processing plant, clearing the way for the complete resumption of work at controversial facility in central Iran. The move was announced Wednesday as the board of the International Atomic Energy Agency postponed an emergency meeting in Vienna on Iran's actions. Western news reports quote diplomats from the IAEA's 35-member countries as saying they have not been able to agree on a response to the Iranian move. An agency spokesman says a formal session will convene Thursday. Tehran had agreed to suspend uranium conversion last November, to counter U.S. and European suspicions that it was secretly trying to develop fuel for nuclear weapons. The European Union, with U.S. backing, has threatened to refer Iran to the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions, if Tehran resumed the suspect fuel work.
