The prince, wearing black formal attire, and Mrs. Parker Bowles, in an oyster silk coat and matching chiffon dress, smiled and waved to a crowd of well-wishers as they walked together into the Windsor Guildhall for the brief ceremony. The bride also wore a matching straw and lace hat with feathers. Only about 30 guests - among them Charles' sons Prince William and Prince Harry - attended the wedding. Thousands of people standing outside the 17th-century Guildhall loudly cheered the two young princes, whose mother, Princess Diana, died in a car crash nearly eight years ago. Charles' parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, did not attend the wedding, but will join a wedding blessing service, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, at St. George's Chapel in the royal family's Windsor Castle. Prime Minister Tony Blair and 800 of the newlyweds' friends and family also will be at the castle. The marriage is the second for both Charles and Mrs. Parker Bowles, who were lovers for more than 30 years, including the time they both were married to others. Mrs. Parker Bowles will be known in the future as the Duchess of Cornwall, and under current British law she would become queen if and when Prince Charles succeeds his mother on the British throne. .
