   WWDC 2018 Returns to San Jose on June 4th through 8th

   [1]Apple has announced dates for the 2018 installment of its Worldwide
   Developers Conference (WWDC), which will be held from June 4th through
   8th, again at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

   Apple will once again issue tickets by random lottery, and you can
   apply now through 22 March 2018 at 10 AM PDT at the [3]WWDC Web site.
   Tickets cost $1599 each and include daily lunch, beverages, and snacks.
   Up to [4]350 student scholarships are available, allowing chosen
   students to attend for free. Students must include a unique Swift
   playground to apply for a scholarship. In an unusual, but welcome, move
   for a conference, Apple will also offer [5]free childcare for children
   8 and under, though space is limited.

   Unlike last year, Apple didn't mention any adjacent events, but
   [6]AltConf will once again be held nearby from June 4th through 7th. As
   always, tickets are free, but attendees are encouraged to donate and
   donating $300 guarantees a seat if the space fills up.
