Schmitz Bare Bones Software has released [1]TextWrangler 5.5 with more than 250 new features, changes to existing features, and fixes for the free text editor ' including a bump in requirements to OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks or later. The update streamlines the workflow for Find Differences with edit fields replacing the old path controls and a new folder-comparison option (Only compare items in common), adds a new Sidebar settings group in the Appearance preferences, adds an option to Editing preferences that enables you to highlight selected text rather than underline it, improves performance in computations for soft wrapping text, and fixes a bug where autosaved document data would be lost if the application crashed or was forcibly quit after the restoration of sleep data.
