Schmitz Microsoft has issued version 14.5.8 of its [1]Office 2011 suite with several patches for critical security vulnerabilities, including two memory corruption-related problems that could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. Additionally, the update fixes a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Microsoft Excel for Mac 2011 that could lead to a spoofing issue where remote attackers could inject arbitrary Web script or HTML via an e-mail message that is mishandled by Outlook for Mac.
