Judge Blocks Trump Effort to Freeze $10 Billion in Child Care Subsidies for 5 States

The Trump administration has suffered a number of new legal setbacks in
its effort to slash funding for social services. A federal judge in
Washington, D.C., has ordered the Trump administration to restore nearly
$12 million in funding to the American Academy of Pediatrics. In a
separate case, a federal judge ruled the Trump administration can't
freeze $10 billion in child care subsidies for five Democratic-led
states: New York, California, Colorado, Illinois and Minnesota.
