Israeli Minister Proposes Annexing 82% of Occupied West Bank
------------------------------------------------------------

In Israel, far-right minister Bezalel Smotrich on Wednesday proposed
annexing 82% of the occupied West Bank. The plan would effectively end
prospects for a future Palestinian state. In response, the United Arab
Emirates said any efforts to annex the West Bank would cross a red line
that could unravel the Abraham Accords that normalized relations between
Israel and some Arab nations.
