U.S. Vetoes U.N. Security Council Draft Resolution Calling for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

The United States vetoed a draft U.N. Security Council resolution
yesterday that called for an "immediate, unconditional and permanent"
ceasefire in Gaza. It was approved by 14 of the council's 15 member
states, and it was the sixth time the U.S. cast a veto since the start
of Israel's war on Gaza.
