Massive Fire Erupts at Chevron Oil Refinery in California

In California, a massive explosion tore through a Chevron oil refinery
in the Los Angeles suburb of El Segundo Thursday evening, sparking a
fire that burned through the night and could be seen from miles away.
The explosion occurred around 9:30 p.m. and prompted shelter-in-place
orders until 2 a.m. No injuries have been reported. This comes as the
Trump administration has moved to shut down the U.S. Chemical Safety and
Hazard Investigation Board, an independent federal agency tasked with
uncovering the causes of industrial disasters.
