Supreme Court Declined to Hear an Appeal to Overturn its Decision on Same-Sex Marriage

The Supreme Court rejected to hear an appeal on Monday to overturn its
decision legalizing same-sex marriage. The justices turned away an
appeal from Kim Davis, the former Kentucky court clerk who refused to
issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples after the court's 2015
ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges. Human Rights Campaign president Kelley
Robinson praised the decision saying, "the Supreme Court made clear
today that refusing to respect the constitutional rights of others does
not come without consequences."
