State Dept. to Close Overseas Missions, Dozens of Consulates

In more news from the State Department, the agency is preparing to
shutter a dozen overseas consulates, as well as many more diplomatic
missions. The move would include laying off many local employees crucial
for U.S. diplomatic relations in those countries.
