Senate Committee Advances Nomination of Dr. Mehmet Oz, Backer of Privatizing Medicare

In other Trump news, the Senate Finance Committee has advanced the
nomination of Dr. Mehmet Oz to head the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services. The former TV host and doctor has a long record of
supporting the privatization of Medicare.

The Senate also held a confirmation hearing for Mike Huckabee, Trump's
pick to be U.S. ambassador to Israel. Huckabee is the former governor of
Arkansas and a self-described Christian Zionist who has long supported
Israel annexing the occupied West Bank.
