Arts Groups Sue National Endowment for the Arts over Trump's Order on "Gender Ideology"

A group of arts organizations focused on transgender and nonbinary
communities has sued the National Endowment for the Arts, or NEA, after
it imposed new grant requirements conforming to Trump's executive order
banning the promotion of so-called gender ideology. The ACLU, which is
representing the plaintiffs, said, "This gag on artists' speech has had
a ripple effect across the entire art world, from Broadway to community
arts centers."
