New Trump Travel Ban Goes into Effect, Bars Citizens from 12 Nations

President Donald Trump's new travel ban has gone into effect. The
impacted countries are Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Equatorial Guinea,
Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen and the Republic of
Congo. New travel restrictions have also been placed on seven additional
countries. Critics of the ban include Congressmember Pramila Jayapal,
who wrote on social media, "This ban, expanded from Trump's Muslim ban
in his first term, will only further isolate us on the world stage."
