Federal Appeals Court Rules Trump's Attempt to End Birthright Citizenship Is Unconstitutional

A federal appeals court in California has ruled President Trump's
attempts to end birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, bringing the
case closer to the U.S. Supreme Court. In the majority opinion, two
judges on the 9th Circuit wrote Trump's executive order "contradicts the
plain language of the 14th Amendment's grant of citizenship to 'all
persons born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction
thereof.'"
