Federal Court Blocks Rule to Scrub Medical Debt from Credit Reports

A federal judge has struck down a Biden-era rule that would have removed
$49 billion in medical debt from credit reports. The rule affected some
15 million people and would have allowed roughly 22,000 people burdened
with medical debts to still be able to access a mortgage.
