Sam Nujoma, Namibia's First President, Who Led His Country to Independence, Dies at 95

Sam Nujoma, freedom fighter turned president who led Namibia to
independence from apartheid South Africa in 1990, has died at the age of
95. Often referred to as Namibia's "founding father," Nujoma was known
for his motto, "A united people, striving to achieve a common good for
all members of the society, will always emerge victorious."
