U.S. Judge Blocks Transfer of Venezuela Immigrant Detainees to Guantánamo

A federal judge in New Mexico has temporarily blocked the U.S.
government from sending three Venezuelan men in immigration detention to
Guantánamo. The Center for Constitutional Rights had sought an emergency
order to protect the three men. Over the weekend, Secretary of Homeland
Security Kristi Noem visited the U.S. Navy base in Cuba days after the
first detained immigrants were flown there.
