U.K. High Court Ruling Excludes Trans Women from Equality Act Protections

In London, the United Kingdom's Supreme Court has ruled unanimously that
the definition of a woman does not include trans women, who will no
longer be protected as women under Britain's Equality Act. The case was
brought by the group For Women Scotland, which is partly funded by the
writer J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter franchise.
