Greenpeace has warned the sinking could result in a major environmental crisis since the ship was carrying 21,000 metric tons of fertilizer and a large amount of fuel. The Rubymar is the first ship to sink in the Red Sea since the Houthis began attacking ships to protest Israel's assault on Gaza. .
