Tropical Storm Alberto Makes Landfall

In the Gulf of Mexico, Tropical Storm Alberto has made landfall,
bringing heavy rains, flooding and storm surge to northeastern Mexico
and southern Texas. At least three deaths have been reported. Alberto is
the first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season; forecasters are
predicting a well-above-normal hurricane season.
