Namibian President and Anti-Apartheid Activist Hage Geingob, 82, Dies

Funeral arrangements are being planned for Namibian President Hage
Geingob, who died on Sunday at the age of 82. Geingob was a prominent
anti-apartheid activist who became Namibia's first prime minister when
the former German colony gained independence from apartheid South Africa
in 1990. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa described Geingob as "a
towering veteran of Namibia's liberation from colonialism and
apartheid."
