Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah Elected as Namibia's First Woman President

Voters in Namibia have elected their nation's first woman president. On
Tuesday, Namibia's Electoral Commission reported Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah
of the governing South West Africa People's Organization had won the
first round of voting outright with 57% of the vote. Opposition
politicians contested the result, claiming a "deeply flawed" electoral
process and promising a legal challenge.
