California: Gov. Newsom Raises Minimum Wage for Fast-Food Workers to $20

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed legislation to increase the
minimum wage for fast-food workers to $20 an hour. The law also creates
a new council to help set industry-wide standards on pay and working
conditions. The law takes effect April 1.
