Las Vegas Hotel and Casino Workers Overwhelmingly Vote to Authorize Strike

In Las Vegas, unionized hospitality workers overwhelmingly voted to
authorize a citywide strike against hotels and casinos. Amid record
industry profits in recent years, hospitality workers are demanding wage
increases, on-the-job safety protections, more humane workloads,
increased job security, and training on new technology, as well as
protections if technology displaces workers.
