British Regulator Clears Path for Microsoft's Acquisition of Activision

Microsoft is on track to complete the largest-ever merger of technology
firms, after British regulators approved its $69 billion purchase of the
video game maker Activision Blizzard. This comes after a federal judge
in July refused the Biden administration's request to issue a temporary
injunction stopping the merger, citing antitrust laws. The Federal Trade
Commission argued the merger would hurt competition in the video game
industry.
