California Court Convicts Captain of 2019 Scuba Boat Fire and Drowning

In California, a boat captain was convicted of criminal negligence for
the 2019 deaths of 34 people aboard a scuba diving vessel that caught
fire and sank south of Santa Barbara. Thirty-three passengers and one
crew member died. Jerry Boylan abandoned ship and jumped overboard,
saving his life. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
