Vermont Man Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder of Three Palestinian Students

In Vermont, a 48-year-old man accused of shooting three Palestinian
college students pleaded not guilty Monday to three counts of attempted
second-degree murder. He allegedly shot the students from his porch as
they walked by. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the FBI is
investigating whether the shooting was a hate crime. Two of the students
remain hospitalized. Hisham Awartani, who was shot in the spine, has
reportedly lost feeling in the lower part of his body. We'll have more
