Oregon Teachers Strike for Higher Wages and Smaller Class Sizes

In Oregon, more than 4,500 teachers and other employees at 81
Portland-area schools walked out on strike Wednesday after failing to
reach an agreement on a new union contract. The union is seeking higher
wages, more time to plan lessons and a limit to class sizes. It's the
first-ever strike of Portland teachers.
