U.S. Was World's Top Military Spender and Arms Exporter Again in 2022

A new report finds worldwide military spending rose to an all-time high
of over $2.2 trillion last year, largely driven by Russia's invasion of
Ukraine. The United States accounted for nearly 40% of total military
spending, even though it has just over 4% of the world's population. The
U.S. also remained the world's largest arms exporter, by far.
