Ex-Minneapolis Cop Thomas Lane Gets Three Years in Prison for Manslaughter of George Floyd
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The former Minneapolis police officer who pinned George Floyd's legs to
the pavement while fellow officer Derek Chauvin choked him to death was
sentenced to three years in prison by a Minnesota court on Wednesday.
Thomas Lane had pleaded guilty in May to a second-degree manslaughter
charge in connection with Floyd's murder in May of 2020. Lane is already
serving a 30-month federal prison term for violating Floyd's civil
rights.
