At Least 18 Killed as Explosion Strikes Mosque in Herat, Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, at least 18 people were killed today and 21 injured in
an explosion at a mosque in the western Afghan city of Herat. The blast
went off during Friday noon prayers. The dead included the prominent
cleric Mujib-ul Rahman Ansari, who was close to the Taliban. He is the
second pro-Taliban cleric to be killed over the past month.
